John Adam Krueger is a writer/director based in Los Angeles. His coming-of-age/horror short film, Hector’s Hell House (2023), had its world premiere at the 41st Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival. The film won Best Short Film at the 42nd Terror Molins and Best Drama Short at the 20th Another Hole In The Head Film Festival. He is in post-production on his sci-fi short The Lu’issi Run.
He was a finalist for the 2018 Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Production Grant at UCLA and a finalist for the 2020 Film Riot MakeFilm Challenge. He is a recipient of the George Burns and Gracie Allen Fellowship, the Motion Picture Association of America Award and the Edie and Lew Wasserman Film Production Fellowships. He received his MFA in Film Directing from UCLA. He is currently developing his first feature film based on The Lu’issi Run.
He loves films that invoke awe and wonder. It could be through some fantastic imaginary world, or just how clearly it reflects his own, usually non-fantastic, life experiences.
